Last Night in Rome: A New Zombie Apocalypse Novel Set in Rome

What happens when the zombie apocalypse begins in one of the most famous cities in the world?

Last Night in Rome, a new zombie apocalypse novel by Martin G. Varden, takes readers into the streets of Rome during the first terrifying hours of an outbreak.

British journalist Daniel Harper is supposed to catch a 6:40 a.m. flight back to London, where his twelve-year-old daughter is waiting for him. But before the night is over, the dead begin to rise and Rome starts to collapse.

With public transport failing, emergency services overwhelmed and violence spreading through the city, Daniel joins a small group of survivors trying to reach Fiumicino Airport before dawn.

There is also a disturbing twist to the outbreak:

It isn't the bite that brings you back. Death does.

Rather than showing a world already destroyed by the zombie apocalypse, Last Night in Rome focuses on Day Zero: the confusion, disbelief and rapidly escalating chaos of the first night.

The novel is now available in English on Amazon in Kindle and paperback editions, and it is also included with Kindle Unlimited.
